The WW1 Aviation Heritage Trust (WAHT) Sopwith Snipe is back with its Bentley Motor Car roots. It is the only flying aircraft powered by a 230hp Bentley Rotary (BR-2) engine in UK.  Andrew Wood reports that it is attracting a lot of interest. It is for sale and we hope that a future owner may task WAHT with its operation so that it is not lost to the Nation. Sultans, Maharajahs, Tea Planters, States, Cities, Regiments, Factories and individuals all presented aircraft to the RFC in England’s hour of need from 1915 onwards.  In all 2000 aircraft were gifted and some of them were replaced 8 times. Keeping up with their presentation logos required a fulltime office and ultimately an early version of Photo Shop. Maybe their descendants would like to repeat their forebears generosity!04
