Summary
In September 1918, the momentum for supremacy on the ground was swinging in the Allies’ favour. With the smashing of the Hindenburg line, Germany’s last realistic hope of vanquishing their enemies was dashed. The relentless pressure on the Western Front continued as British and Commonwealth units, together with massed French and American forces, pushed ever onwards.
