Another great Fly In Weekend at Stow Maries.  The wind a little too strong for the WAHT aircraft on Saturday but it was fine on Sunday and Rob Gauld Gaillers was able to put the Albatros through its paces with great style for his first outing in a WAHT aircraft.  He will be checked out on the BE2 before the end of this season and has promised to return next year in his Nieuport which he keeps at Duxford.  We are also going to de-conflict the Fly Ins at Stow next year from the Old Warden shows to make sure the pilots are available as most fly for the Shuttleworth Collection.  On Sunday, they were all busy at Old Warden and so we could not fly the BE or Snipe.  Also on its first outing was the WAHT tent from Gala Tents complete with 4.5m*3m images of the BE2s, Snipe and Albatros on the side walls.  Thank you for all who took PoW flyers from Sue, Philip, and Graham on duty in the tent.  First prize goes to Dan Whysall who has already submitted his application to become a PoW.  We are a charity and we need your help to keep the aircraft in the air.  We hope to do a fly past in the BE2 from Stow at Brooklands on 27th Sep as part of their Aviation Day and the 7 Squadron BE2e currently at Bicester will be moving to Old Warden in time for their final flying event – Shuttleworth Uncovered – on 4th Oct. Come and join us!
