Dogged Determination

Despite the carnage of ‘Bloody April’, the Royal Flying Corps and their French counterparts continued to take the war to the enemy. Dogged determination, coupled with the advent of more potent and reliable aircraft, began to eat away at the German’s aerial dominance. The first truly efficient fighter aeroplanes had now arrived over the battle fronts and swirling deadly air combats, independent of the static ground war below, became the order of the day.
