BE2a – A Definitive History

The World War One Aviation Heritage Trust is pleased to offer its members an opportunity to support the Association in its work by offering for sale one of the most comprehensive books ever published about this specific aircraft variant. This most historically important Royal Aircraft Factory development is discussed in detail in this new reference covering all aspects of the type. Every operational B.E.2a in the world is described and there is prodigious photographic reference, plans and related material, including where to find current exhibits and related items. The BE2a was Geoffrey de Havilland’s first successful, mass-produced aircraft and the book includes a biography of the man up to his time of joining the Royal Aircraft Factory.

Hare, the world’s leading authority on the Royal Aircraft Factory and its aircraft types, especially the B.E.2a. Contributing to the text and the book design is Andrew Willox who researched and constructed the early-variant B.E.2a on display at Point Cook, Australia.
