WW1 AHT Chat Session 2-5, Scout (Fighter) Development 1916

£5.00

The second of 5 monthly chat sessions discussing the evolution of the Scout (Fighter) during each year of the Great War. Our Panel of WW1 Pilots covered the explosion of fighting Scouts that occurred in 1916 – comparing their experiences today with those of the brave pilots over 100 years ago in the Great War. 1916 saw the emergence of the roles of aeroplanes in war with the fighter squadrons pre-eminent. Some aeroplanes became household names like the Nieuport 11, DH2, Albatros DII and Sopwith Pup. Others faded into history like the Fokker DIV, the Halberstadt, and the BE12. The Session includes photos and videos of all the aircraft provided by HAFU in New Zealand.
